Alyssa Matthews is from Lafayette, Louisiana and earned her MFA from the University of Connecticut. She has exhibited most frequently in New York, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Connecticut. Her interest in making images stems from a youthful passion for pictures of ballerinas and the Virgin Mary. Alyssa lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
