Diane Churchill is a painter living in Nyack with a studio at the Garnerville Arts Center in West Garnerville, NY. She is an abstract painter whose primary passion is harnessing the power of color, red and gold in these works. She creates two sided compositions, referencing book pages, and plays with the interplay of codified writing and the artist's mark. Churchill received a degree in Art History from Wellesley College, attended the Brooklyn Museum Art School and received an M.A. in Painting from Hunter College.

Diane was recently interviewed by Greta Berman who is the art editor for an online publication for and about women over 60 called Persimmon Tree. Her particular interest is synesthesia. She will feature Diane's work in the fall issue of the Persimmon Tree.
