The goal of my artwork is to evoke an emotional response–an emotion, ideally, not limited to a single definition. Using shapes and intermingling text, I strive to create a dialogue of feeling between the painting and the viewer. My paintings explore certain qualities in abstract shapes, textures and spatial boundaries to suggest an emotional truth. Much of my work is obsessed with concepts of love and the emotions that are conveyed and manifested through love.
