SOHO20 seeks bright, motivated individuals who are interested in learning all aspects of nonprofit gallery management at our space in the heart of Bushwick. Interns and volunteers will work directly with the Gallery Director on exhibitions, development, community outreach, event planning, administration, social media and more. Each internship is adjusted to match the interests of the candidate within the needs of the organization.
Potential volunteers should be motivated and able to work independently on projects, have excellent written and communication skills, and be social media savvy. Candidates need to be reliable, willing to learn new skills, have an base level of knowledge of contemporary art, and be interested in feminism and supporting women, trans, and non-binary individuals in the arts.
Candidates are asked to commit to at least one full six hour workday per week for a minimum of one full semester (or 4 months), except during the abbreviated summer months. Students are encouraged to apply for school credit.
