Rosie’s varied media works take the form of large scale site-specific installations, smaller more intimate constructions, and drawing/collage dealing with the spatial realm that gives way to the sculptural shamanistic forms.
“On a very basic level, my work is about the celebration of the life and/or death of the human spirit as it coexists with living beings on our planet. On an abstract level, I feel my creative spirit exists in the tension field between these two modes of “being”. My work is the result of my investigation of form as the dialogues between my work and myself are made concrete or brought to a comprehensive state. It is through this dialogue that I investigate the inner and outer limits of Art, Life, and Death.” — Rosie Thompson
