SOHO20 Welcomes New Director
SOHO20 is thrilled to announce the appointment of Janna Dyk, who succeeded Rachel Steinberg as the new Director.
Janna Dyk is an artist, researcher, and curator who has worked with New York-based foundations and nonprofits since 2009. She received her MFA in Combined Media from Hunter College in 2015. As the Curator at Booklyn (Greenpoint) from 2015-2017, she organized a series of exhibitions exploring the intersection between personal and political concerns. In 2017 she held residencies at Marble House Project (Vermont) and the NARS Foundation (Sunset Park). A recent curatorial project, Relative Material was shown at NURTUREart (Bushwick) in 2017. Her projects have appeared in publications such as ArtForum, Art in America, the New York Times, BOMB, Hyperallergic, ArtSlant, The Curator, 1000 Words (London), and L’Orient du Jour (Beirut).
Janna Dyk comes to SOHO20 with a cross-disciplinary approach, and is excited to join its community. She will take the reigns on the heels of an exciting, transitioning, three year period at SOHO20, which has seen the introduction of new programs and critical attention, as well as a move in 2015 from Chelsea to the heart of Bushwick.
