Born in Tokyo, Japan, Naoko Ito is a New York based artist working in sculpture, installation and video. She received a BA in Science of Design with a concentration in Museum Studies from Musashino Art University in Tokyo in 2001 and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2010. Ito has had a solo exhibition at CAM-Contemporary Art Museum in Raleigh, NC in 2011. Her work has been exhibited in the U.S. and Japan including Perry Rubenstein Gallery in NY, White Box in NY, DIC Color Square in Tokyo and Ozone Gallery in Tokyo. She has had residencies at Soho20 Gallery, Chashama and Yaddo.
