The way I experience the world has been directly influenced by my gender. The way the world has treated us has never allowed us to forget that. A big part of growing up as a girl is noticing all these injustices women deal with and still being told to repress our anger and frustration, when words are not enough I let my artwork be louder than language itself. In 2021 Texas passed an abortion-ban law, stating that most abortions would be banned after the fifth-sixth week, which is a period where many people are still unaware that they are pregnant. We have been told to repress our anger, we have been told what to do with our own bodies, and, respectfully, fuck that.
