My two pieces are from a series "Headlines". With the arrival of Covid-19, "normal" life shifted. The virus interrupted our usual streams of consciousness with unforeseen, intrusive currents, shifting and rearranging life as we'd known it. The possible invisible presence and effects of the virus mix with and recolor the familiar, introducing new pressures, new requirements for getting through the day. The extraordinary and the ordinary stand side-by-side, competing for attention. The spike protein and the snow piling up, the infection rate and a tree falling, vaccinations and the dog barking. The new paradigm.
