Our lively discussion in February needed more attention! This is precisely the time when artists go to work – not when everything is fine, but in times of dread. That’s our job! . . . We speak, we write, we do language. That is how civilizations heal.

Inspired by Toni Morrison’s “No Place for Self-Pity, No Room for Fear,” which was first published in The Nation Magazine (2004), following the presidential re-election of George W. Bush. After Trump’s election, it has been reposted, retweeted and reprinted in The Nation’s 150th Anniversary Special Issue.

Come and join our second discussion. Share resources and support as we discuss multiple ways to be involved and continue as a creative force.
